partnerships to sell its "O Organics" private label line in Asia
and South America, according to Marketwatch.com.
A recent deal was also struck with distributing giant Sysco Corp.
to sell the products to the foodservice segment, Safeway said.

Kroger Adding More Organic Items
Chicago, Aug 8 - Kroger Co, the largest mainstream U.S. grocer, said on Wednesday it was adding more than 60 organic items to its in-house line with a focus on breakfast and dinner foods to meet consumer demand.
Kroger said most of the new products, which include organic peanut butter and milk, should be in stores by the end of September. The products are being sold under the company's Private Selection brand and have the USDA Organic Certified seal, which assures at least 95 percent of the ingredients are organic.
